NEISD Maturation Program
Tuscany Heights Elementary will offer the N.E.I.S.D. Maturation Program in March for parent preview and the beginning of April for Students.
This program is offered for 3rd grade girls and their parent/guardian, and for 4th and 5th grade girls and boys. The purpose of this program is to help promote a better understanding of the physical development that occurs at this age and to encourage students to develop a responsible attitude toward personal health and maturation.
All 3rd grade girls and their parents/guardians are invited to attend the Maturation Education Program being held on March 9, 2017 at
Hardy Oak Elementary at 6:00 p.m.

The 4th and 5th grade Parents/Guardians will have the opportunity to preview the program which will include material on puberty and the reproductive system before their child/ren are taught the curriculum by the school nurse.
This Parent preview for 4th and 5th graders is for adults only (children/siblings will not be allowed at
The presentation).
The 4th graders will view the 50 minute maturation program particular for their gender at separate sessions. A notification form will be sent home with each student and must be returned with documented permission by the Parents/Guardians for the student to be allowed to attend the session.
The 5th graders will view the same materials and videos on puberty and the reproductive system for both genders offered by the school nurse. Separate classes will be taught for boys and girls. Notices will be sent home for the Parents/Guardians with permission for their
Child/ren to participate.
These materials have been carefully screened and approved by the N.E.I.S.D. Board of Trustees and the School Health Advisory Council.
No Child will be allowed to participate without written documentation of Parent/Guardian consent!
Classes will be held for the boys on April 6th during specials at their 4th and 5th grade times.
