October's Counseling Theme: Be Kind To Your Mind
Useful Pointers:
1. Allow your mind some space each day to recharge and focus on self-improvement. Creating this space entails learning a new skill or devoting time to a hobby over the weekend.
2. Observe your self-talk. When you find yourself talking down to yourself, change the tone by being gentle. Stop judging yourself. This new approach will, in general, help make you happier, calmer, and more productive.
3. Make time for yourself every day by reading a book, going for a walk outside, or simply doing something you enjoy without feeling rushed.
4. Ensure that you are spending enough time in nature, getting enough sleep, and practicing meditation or mindfulness.

HOW TO REPORT YOUR CONCERN
With STOPit, users can submit anonymous reports containing text, photos, or video. Administrators are then able to manage incidents in a backend management system called STOPit ADMIN. STOPit ADMIN provides efficient and powerful investigative tools to staff, including the ability to message with the reporter, which will allow EISD to address issues instantly. To access STOPit and make an anonymous report:
- Users can download the app from the App Store or Google Play and use corresponding access codes for each campus. Information and access codes were sent home with students. Access codes are also found on the left of this page.
- Web-based reporting via the STOPit website for each campus is available now. To make a report, visit the STOPit webpage located under Departments > Safety > STOPit (Report Suspicious Behavior).
Please keep in mind, STOPit is not an emergency response service. If you believe your call requires immediate police, fire, or paramedic response, call 9-1-1. STOPit does not provide counseling or clinical advice. If you feel you need this type of attention, please seek the assistance of a qualified clinical or medical professional.

Attention Middle School and High School Parents!
Play it Safe!® child abuse awareness and prevention program uses age-appropriate materials to educate children Pre-K through high school in ways they can best learn and respond. Scripts and videos are developed through an evidence-based approach to teach children and teens how to reduce their risk of sexual and physical abuse by recognizing potentially abusive behavior, responding appropriately to threatening situations, and reporting abuse to a trusted adult. Some of the program topics include safe, unsafe, and confusing touch for elementary-aged children, and healthy relationships and dating violence for middle and high school-aged children.
