Crazy Brain
How exactly does the brain work?
Parts of the Brain
The brain is very complicated. It consists of 4 main parts, the cerebrum, the cerebellum, the brainstem, and the pituitary gland. In the cerebrum each half is divided into 4 different parts. There is the frontal lobe, the temporal lobe, the parietal lobe, and the occipital lobe. There is one of each different lobe in each half. The right half controls the left side of the body and the left half controls the right side of the body. All of these have specific things that contribute to the brain. They are all very important.
The Brain's Protection
Meninges protect the brain. They are layers of tissue that surround the brain. Cerebrospinal fluid is also in between some layer to provide some extra protection. As you know the skull also protects the brain. The skull consists of many parts.
Memory
Memory takes place in the frontal lobe. Memory is not the only function of the frontal lobe though. Thinking, movement, making decisions, and behavior are the other functions of the frontal lobe. You use your frontal lobe constantly.
