Kindness Counts! Kindness Counts!

Our students completed 1000+ acts of kindness during kindness week and that's just those that kept track on their checklist and turned it in! It was great to see students focus on all the different ways they can show kindness.

Let's work on showing kindness on a daily basis now that we know how easy it can be!

Donations Needed! Donations Needed!

It's POLLEN season and we are out of tissues!

🤧🤧

We could use some donations of tissues for our classrooms. Any donations should be given to Mrs. Holt at the front desk.

Thank You!

Mobile Phone Policy Reminder Mobile Phone Policy Reminder

zoom_out_map

There has been a noticeable increase in the use of mobile phones during the school day. Restrooms and Locker Rooms are STRICT no phone zones. Please take a moment to read the mobile phone policy below:

Students in the middle school are not permitted to use mobile phones during the instructional day unless given direct permission to do so by a teacher or staff member. This means mobile phones should remain in lockers or in backpacks and TURNED OFF or set on SILENT so no notifications or sounds disturb instruction. Yes, this also includes lunch time. We want students to learn how to talk to each other face to face and build friendships during these social times as opposed to having their focus on a screen.

If a student needs to call home, they need to notify a teacher and can use the office phone to make the call. In efforts to protect instructional time, if you need to reach your child, you can call the front office 704.463.0567 to leave a message for them or to notify us that you need to speak to your child.

If students have a phone out at any time during the instructional day without permission they will be given a warning and asked to put away the phone. If it becomes a repeated offense, the device will be taken and held in the the front office for the day. In some situations, a parent/guardian will be notified and asked to come to the office to retrieve the phone.
