Nicole Rische : Middle School Art and Connections Class
The Art of the Global Outcomes
Mrs. Rische is the picture of a life-long learner. She is incredibly reflective about her practice and has worked to embed the Global Outcomes into her instruction, assessment, and the language students use to talk about art.
Student work is showcased in her classroom and brightens the walls throughout the middle school, and students in her classes are engaged, focused, and excited about art. Mrs. Rische personalizes learning using choice boards so that students can work on individual passion projects while learning various art techniques and genres. Mistakes are encouraged and viewed as opportunities for reflection and innovation.
In Connections class, students hone their communication skills and learn about social, emotional, and physical wellness. Mrs. Rische encourages discussion and collaboration. Students work through modules and write, create and produce Public Service Announcements at the end of each quarter.
We are so lucky to have Nicole Rische in our district!!
