The Lady Bobcats basketball team hosted their first annual basketball athletic banquet on Saturday evening. The Banquet was a joyous success. The Lady Bobcat basketball athletes were awarded and honored for their accomplishments throughout the 2022-23 basketball season. It was a fun evening of mingling and bonding with athletes, friends, and parents. We want to thank all athletes and parents. A special thank you goes out to Josh Hayes, our booster club President, and our team mom, Ms. Guthrie. Ms. Guthrie had a big role in organizing our special event from a distance. If it were not for her assistance and input, this banquet does not happen. Parents Mr. Hood and Mr. Siddiq were also instrumental in assisting with our decorations. Thank you, thank you all that had a hand in making this event a successful one. We would also like to thank a former student-athlete of Benbrook, Madison Sorrell, who was our guest speaker for the evening. We would like to thank her for her words of wisdom on how to survive the first few weeks of college. Madison is now a student-athlete of Boston University and competes on the Boston Terrier Track Team.
We are looking forward to the next year of success, and a great time in honoring our athletes at our athletic banquet.
Finally, thank you, Coach Massey and Coach Campbell, for always standing in to support our athletes with your hard work and expertise. You are very much appreciated.
Thank you, Coach Slater, for blessing our delicious dinner.
Thank you, Mr. Bryant, and the band for your assistance with our banquet decorations. We greatly appreciate you for your immediate response and thoughtfulness. I am sure your banquet was just an enjoyable and fun for you.
We are an athlete on the court and a Lady off the court!! They are dressed to impress!!
