Student Safety Information

Please pay attention to these three items for our students safety:

  • Do not speed on Wakefield - community members have made BGPD aware that cars are speeding down Wakefield and in front of the school
  • ALL visitors or volunteers are required to check in at the front office between the hours of 7:00AM-3:00PM - Drivers License is required - When leaving give your visitors badge to Mrs. Lane
  • Car tags are visible to staff during afternoon drop off until students are loaded in the car.

Dr. Seuss Dress Up Day

On March 2nd the Lighthouse Team and our Librarian, Mrs. Veazey, invite all students and staff members to dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. What great fun we will have celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday!

End Of the Year Dates

It's hard to believe but the end of the year is right around the corner! Listed are four dates that you may want to know for the end of the year. More details will be shared as the events get closer.

May 6-12 - K-PREP Assessment window

May 15 - Field Day (AM) / K-2 Talent Show (PM)

May 20 - 5th Grade Promotion - 1:00 PM

May 21 - 3-5 Talent Show (AM) / Last Day for Students

Fifth Grade Baby pictures Needed!!

The yearbook staff needs fifth grade baby pictures. If you could send a picture to Liz Lowery at the email address below. Please add your child’s first name, last name, and teacher’s name. Thank you

Box Top For Education Information

Submitting Box Tops for Education has gone digital. The company has produced a tutorial video to explain how to submit box tops for your school. Please check out the video below.

Attendance information

Attendance letters are sent home if a child has a certain number of unexcused or used doctors notes. Please know that these letters help us communicate with you, the parents/guardians, about our records. If you receive one of these letters, please contact the front office so that proper notes can be turned in and the codes can be changed within our system.

Foreign Exchange Student Information

Know someone who is GREAT with youth? Refer them to host a foreign exchange student. You, or your organization, will receive a $100 thank you when the student arrives in August! Hosts provide a loving home and a seat at their table. Students arrive excited to experience American culture and enhance their English. Students provide their own insurance and spending money.
