From the Principal
Dear Copeland families,
Thanks to all who attended our Field Days. We were so fortunate to have great weather. It was such a fun three days for everyone. Shout out to our great PE staff, Coach Kurtz and Coach Tucker, for their hard work to make it so special and fun.
We are now welcoming lunch visitors back to Copeland. Please bring your ID when you visit our campus. Parents are invited to sit at the parent tables rather than with the class. We ask parents to be prepared to say their goodbyes when teachers alert students that there are five minutes remaining. Students should then rejoin the class to be ready to go to recess. Parents are not allowed at recess with their children. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
CFISD School Board Election - The CFISD School Board Election is November 2nd (early voting October 18-29). Trustee Positions 5, 6, and 7 will be on the ballot to serve a four-year term. You can learn more about the 14 candidates here. Please vote.
Thursday, November 11th, we will host our annual Veteran's Day festivities at 2:00 p.m. Please support our efforts to honor our Veterans by purchasing flags for your child to wave during our Let Freedom Ring parade. The money raised from flag sales also pays for refreshments for our veterans. Flags are available for purchase through Fri., Oct. 29th on School Cash here.

Registrar's Office - Attendance
Dear Copeland Parents,
Transportation changes must be requested by 2:45 p.m., and the latest early pick-up time is 2:45 p.m. as well. Thank you for honoring this, as there are many moving parts at the end of each school day.
Instruction begins at 8:00 a.m. daily, and students who arrive at 8:05 a.m., or later, are marked tardy (unless they are bus riders who are never marked tardy). Please do not drop off your student if the front door is closed. Parents or guardians must sign their child in at the front office if they arrive after 8:05 a.m. Thanks for your cooperation.
If your child is absent from school, please send a signed note or a doctor’s note (if available) at the time the student returns to school.
Excuse notes must be provided to the school within three (3) days from the date of the absence, or consecutive absences.
A phone call and/or email will not excuse the student’s absence.
Students with excessive absences and/or tardiness will be referred to the district’s truancy officer.
Every day counts!
