Message from Principal Cullinane
Good afternoon Nashoba students and families,
Have a wonderful February Break - Stay Safe!
From the Nurses' Office
Hello Nashoba Families,
I hope that all members of our school community are looking forward to a relaxing winter break. As many have been thinking about traveling, please keep in mind we must abide by all state regulations for travel to and from other states.
So as a REMINDER, I am writing to let you know of the current guidelines for traveling out of Massachusetts. You can find them here https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order.
In short, we require one of the following prior to returning to school:
Quarantine for a full 10 days upon return, or
Produce a negative PCR (not antigen) test result within 72 hours prior to arrival or upon return to MA and you must quarantine until test results are obtained.
Please notify the health office of your travel plans (state and dates) followed with testing results, as we work together to support the safety of our learning community. Once again, the COVID test needs to be a PCR not an antigen test.
Thank you and as always, please reach out with any questions or concerns. Wishing you all a peaceful and enjoyable February break.
Sarah DelConte Cosentino
From the AD's Desk
The winter season is coming to an end with the final week of competition over vacation. We are continuing to prepare for the start of the Fall II season. As I’ve mentioned previously, our athletic programs are going to look different this year, but we are excited to continue to allow our student-athletes an opportunity to play!
Dates for the Fall II Season: We have a tiered approach to the start dates for each of our sports this season. The Fall II season ends on April 24, 2021.
February 22, 2021 -- Football
March 1, 2021 -- Volleyball and Cheerleading (Game Day Cheer)
March 9, 2021 -- Unified Basketball
March 15, 2021 -- Indoor Track
Important information regarding Fall II sports…
If you registered for a fall sport back in September, you MUST register AGAIN for the Fall II season!
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN - Click here! Student-athletes must register online by 2/17/21 to participate in a Fall II sport at Nashoba.
Students that register after this date will be allowed to participate in Fall II sports, but may not be cleared and eligible for the first day. This deadline allows the athletic office time to compile lists and check eligibility for all students prior to February vacation. In addition, due to EEA guidelines on the number of participants allowed in a facility we have to know registration info to set the tryout schedule. It is better to sign up and then decide not to participate then sign up late!
Physical Examinations – Please submit a valid physical to the Nashoba Regional nurses’ office. Physicals are valid for 13 months to the day of the exam – students with expired physicals will be ineligible to participate until a current physical is submitted. Additionally, the physical examination must be an in-person physical exam in order for the student to be eligible. Telehealth physicals are not valid for athletic participation. We highly encourage all physicals to be emailed to the nurses at NRHNurses@nrsd.net or faxed to 978-965-3968.
UPDATED Athletic User Fee ($125) – Fall II user fees are due by March 17, 2021, after teams are selected. PLEASE DO NOT PAY USER FEES UNTIL TEAMS ARE SELECTED!
Tryouts/Practice/Game Schedules: We are currently working on the tryout, practice, and game schedules. As soon as they are finalized, we will share the information with everyone. The tryout/practice schedule will be emailed to everyone registered for a Fall II team prior to the first day of the season.

Resources for Mental Health
HandholdMA.org, a user-friendly website for Massachusetts families who are worried about their children’s mental health says, “Covid-19 is putting incredible pressure on families. You might be noticing your child struggle in new ways, or that old problems are getting worse. Should you worry about your child’s behavioral health? We’re here to help figure that out.”
