WEEK 6 TERM 1, FRIDAY 10 MARCH
A word from the principal
As you may be aware, teachers across New Zealand are due to strike next Thursday. Schools in the Hawkes Bay area are able to request an exemption from the strike due to the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle.
Our teaching staff have unanimously decided NOT to strike as we don't want to disrupt our children and families any further after a very stressful time after the floods.
Our fun dress up day today raised over $930 for the Cyclone Relief Fund. Thanks to all those who were able to donate!
As well as our dress up day, our children participated in the first rotation of 'Whanau Friday' this morning. Children, in mixed age groups, took part in fun activities. It was lovely to see children of all ages learning and having fun together. See below for some photos of the the action.
Have a wonderful weekend Whanau!
