Optimist Communication Competition for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Our Weatherford Optimists are supporting the students of the Brazos River RDSPD in an oratorical competition on March 8th at Weatherford High School. The students will compete for medals and a chance at scholarship money. They will be speaking on the subject, "What the World Gains from Optimism." Our guest speaker for the event will be Jonathan Hutcherson, a hard of hearing high school student from Kentucky. Jonathan was recently a contestant on the popular NBC television show, "The Voice." Lunch will be catered for students and staff of the BRRDSPD.
