Kinder AIM

Know & Go

This week in AIM

This week in AIM we continued to work in teams to design and build our bunny homes. I had each group evaluate their current materials and determine the ONE thing they needed to help them complete this project. They had to trade it in for the ONE thing they didn't think they would need. Tape and staplers were on the top of their list!

Every group has at one point had to rethink their designs and work together to solve problems as they have developed. It is so important that gifted students are faced with situations that require them to re-set their thinking and to not give up. Often times in a regular school day other students have to work through academic problems and therefore learn the value of grit. We need to make sure our gifted kids have the same opportunity to work through problems that challenge them so that they too learn HOW to learn from mistakes etc., I love that this class is determined to build a first class home!
