History of Grateful Farm:

  • Grateful Farm is a second generation family farm, started in 1983 by Tim Garboski. With Tim's guidance, the farm is now run by his son and daughter in law, Jon and Cynthia.
  • 5 Acre farm on Prospect Street, including the Family's homes, greenhouses, fields, and farm stand
  • All herbs and produce have always been grown pesticide and chemical free to meet organic growing practices.
  • Dedicated to selling directly to consumers: "You can’t get fresher or better tasting food than buying directly from the farms."

Grateful farm strives to provide the best, locally produced, organically cared for and healthiest foods to the community.

Jon and Cynthia are raising their two young children on the farm and welcome families to visit. They love having kids visit to learn about farming and where food comes from.

Contact them and ask about bringing the kids down to get dirty and for some farm fun!

A Little About Me:

This newsletter is part of my summer practicum project to complete my Master's in Public Health Nutrition from UMass Amherst. I am community member and a volunteer with the Franklin Agricultural Commission. I am passionate about eating fresh and local foods and I am excited to share information about our local farms and Agricultural Commission with you all summer.
