TxDot Hearing on George Richey Road Widening Held at Spring Hill HS Cafeteria
Spring Hill ISD hosted the public meeting for the Texas Department of Transportation to widen George Richey Rd between Longview and White Oak. The meeting drew 125 residents.

Third grade students recently attended a ballet production at LeTourneau University's Belcher Center. Spring Hill fourth grade student, Isabelle, and fifth grade student, Ryleigh, were among the performers at this production.

Education Foundation's Blue-Out Bash Was a Huge Success
Thank you to all of the sponsors who made this event possible. Proceeds will fund grants for teachers and students. The Foundation's Mission is to provide supplemental funding for academic programs and initiatives that enrich student learning. Events like this, make their Mission a reality.
Intermediate Students Raise Funds for American Heart Association
Congratulations to Tanya Williams, Preslee Grubbs and Ava Adkisson for raising the most money for the American Heart Association at the Intermediate campus. They each earned the right to be named Coach of the Day. Their responsibilities included teaching at least two classes of P.E. They will select the activities or games that they would like to play.

Powerlifting Records Set
Michael Marrs broke the school record, previously held by Jamario Thomas, in the 181 class in powerlifting. Marrs had a deadlift of 510 lbs. Carson Manasse tied the school record in the SHW division for bench (335).
Coach Chancellor said, "the kids had an amazing season with 8 boys and 4 girls qualifying for the regional meet which will be held on March 1 in Fairfield for the girls and March 9 in Malakoff for the boys."

Yearbook Sales Due by March 29

FREE Tax Preparation
The Greater Longview United Way would like to invite Spring Hill ISD to take advantage of their free tax preparation services. IRS certified volunteers prepare income tax returns for free for households with $60,000 or less. Their VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program has been helping the community for 11 years.
