Final Band Booster Meeting - March 14
We will have our final Band Booster meeting of the year this Tuesday, March 14 at 7 PM in the Band Room. Please come to learn about our activities and volunteer needs for the remainder of the school year. We will also be discussing the Band Banquet and Band Registration night among other upcoming events. See you there! As with our December gathering, the general meeting will only run around 45 minutes.
Band Banquet Video
Our year-end video will be created by Dylan Wagg this year. Please help Dylan by sending him some of your favorite band and guard photos for the video via social media or at Dylan.Wagg@gmail.com. Please try to send Dylan a variety of pictures from throughout the school year, not only from the fall marching band season!
Seniors should send a baby picture, young child picture, and a recent picture to Maureen Dufresne at mdufresne5@embarqmail.com (digital preferred). Hard copies can be turned into the Band Office. Hard copies will be returned when we are finished with them. The deadline for senior photo submissions is Monday, March 27 (first day back after spring break).
Java Joes Fundraiser
We will be kicking off our Java Joes coffee fundraiser this week. This is your final chance this year to earn credit for your Band charges, trip charges, and to begin earning credit for next year. Almost everyone drinks coffee (especially our Band Directors), hot chocolate or tea and you have time over Spring Break to do the work so this is an easy sell. Money for the items sold must be collected when the order is placed. The sale will end on Tuesday, March 28.
State Solo & Ensemble MPA
State Solo & Ensemble MPA will be on Saturday, March 25, at Apopka HS. The schedule has not been released yet, however, the Band Directors are expecting it to be released sometime this week.
Band Fair Share 4 / Guard Fair Share 8
Just a reminder that our final Fair Shares for the 2016/2017 school year are now past-due. All outstanding balances not brought up-to-date by spring break will be forwarded to the WPHS Administration and placed on the school's Obligations List. Students on the Obligations list will not be able to purchase prom tickets or obtain tickets for Commencement, amoung other things.
Thank you for making this a priority today!
2017/2018 Band Calendar
The 2017/2018 Band Calendar is beginning to take shape! We have several dates already in place for next school year, including Band Camp, home/away football games, Marching Band MPA, Door-2-Door Fundraiser, Jazz MPA, Solo & Ensemble MPA, Guest Conductor Workshop, Concert Band MPA, and much, much more! Please check it out and sync with your family calendars!
