Now that we are in the first week of March, we are recognizing and celebrating Women's History Month.

Body Safety Presentations
During the presentations students learned about:
- Defining Safe/Unsafe touch: Students can say no to touches that make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe
- "No one should touch your private parts except to keep you healthy"
- The Safety Plan: "Yell no. Get away. Tell an adult."
- Know the difference between Safe vs Unsafe Secrets
- Identifying trusted adults to go to for help
Our Week in Review
- Kindergarten, first, and second grade students participated in a Treat Your Body Right Assembly. (sponsored by the Young PTA)
- Intermediate students participated in an IAR Test Prep Assembly that focused on test taking strategies (relaxation techniques, getting a good night's sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and using online testing tools to solve problems. (sponsored by the Young PTA)
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students had the opportunity to learn from author, Erin Yun.
