Attendance Reminder
Family Contact Information
When we are able to transition back to in-person learning please carefully consider who you choose as an emergency contact. Contacts should be adults who are available during the day and have transportation should it be necessary to pick up your child(ren) from school. If necessary, please contact your child’s school to update your information.
Library Book Return
Thank you SO much for your support of the library and returning your library books from last school year!
There is still a tub for library books at the front door near the main entrance of the school from 7:15-3:45 pm, Monday through Friday. Please ring the bell to let the office know you are dropping off books in the tub.
If you are unable to stop by during those hours, please email Mrs. Serra at; tmserra@d47.org, and she will help you make other arrangements.
***Friendly Medication Reminder and NEW IN PERSON LEARNING ABSENCE PROCEDURE***
*Medications*
If your child will have medication here at school, please turn in the D47 Medication Authorization form filled out by the doctor WITH the medication. District policy states that the health office cannot accept one without the other. If your child has asthma or a food allergy that requires them to have an inhaler / medications to be kept at school, please include the "action plan" provided by the doctor.
Please note that you may not send ANY medication / inhaler in with your child in their back-pack. A parent or guardian must bring the medication / inhaler. Thank you for your cooperation.
***NEW IN PERSON LEARNING SELF CERTIFY AND ABSENCE PROCEDURE***
We are SO excited to have the kiddos back in person! We cannot wait to see their faces which we have so missed!
Please be on the lookout for a Health Communication letter that will be sent by the district sometime before we start in person learning. There will be very important information regarding checking daily to make sure your child(ren) are well enough to attend in person, as well as new criteria/guidelines for when to keep them home. It will no longer be ONLY keeping kids home for fever or vomiting, so please familiarize yourselves with the updated information when you receive it. It is extremely important.
Thank you, and WELCOME BACK COUGARS!!!!!!!!

The Morning Announcements
Please keep the feedback coming! We really enjoy doing these for our Husmann Community each day. Our goal is to give our Cougars something to look forward to, as well as possibly get to know a staff member a little bit better and finally to think about being safe, respectful and responsible while in Remote Learning! The National Days are a fun way to cap them off and we absolutely love receiving and then re-sharing photos of our Cougars enjoying those special days!
Should you wish to share any photos, please email us at Husschool@d47.org. Feel free to always share your pictures on social media with the hashtag #forward47 & #HUSpride as well!
