Curriculum and Testing Newsletter June 2015

We Made It!

The last week of school is here! Yay!

I hope you all have a wonderful, restful summer with plenty of time for family and friends.

While this year has had its challenges, I look forward to what lies ahead for Fenton Area Public Schools. Many people will be working hard this summer to set the stage for a great 2015-2016 school year. With that said, I am looking for more teachers to help. Please see the information below regarding taking part in PYP, DP and Replacing MYP teams, plus a new Wellness Committee.

Below you will also find a variety of summer PD opportunities. Just a friendly reminder that given the new teacher contract and calendar, you are NOT obligated to attend a PD session of your choice this summer. The offerings below are options for interested staff.

PD and Committee Options

Lunch will be provided, as well as some information to read prior to the PD. Please RSVP by June 20.

Fenton Administration Building

I am looking for one or two people from each building to participate in a newly formed Fenton Wellness Team for both staff and students. We will create a wellness vision and timeline of activities for the year.

This team will be instrumental in planning culture and morale boosting opportunities for our district, along with other areas that the self-assessment determines as weaknesses. The team will meet once in June, once in August, and quarterly after school throughout the year.
