Principal's Message

I am so proud of the Chichester School Community for completing this, challenging at times, school year! Each and every one of us has worked incredibly hard and shown such resilience over the past 16 months. We appreciate the support of our community and our parents as we finished this school year strong. Even though this year looked different, students still achieved wonderful milestones, memories were made, field trips were taken when possible, and curriculum was made as fun and engaging as possible.

As we close out this school year, I hope that each of you is able to take a moment to relax and to reflect. I have tried my best to look at positives that this year has brought to our school community and to education across our state; we've increased our technology throughout our building, we've been able to get to know our students and their families on a much more individual level, and our town offices and school have begun to form a positive working relationship.

Have a wonderful summer, and be on the lookout for communication and events over the months of July and August! Feel free to call the main office if you need anything over the summer.

Ms. Jessica Snider

News from Superintendent Peter Warburton: Fall 2021 Opening Plan

Dear Chichester Community:

You may have heard that school districts in New Hampshire and around the United States will be receiving Covid Federal Grants, also known as ESSER Grants.

To meet federal requirements, school districts needed to create a draft 21-22 Opening Plan for schools that would include a period of time that community members could give input to the PLAN.

The DRAFT Plan can be found here:

Given that we will not reopen schools until the end of August, this plan was difficult to write, and will need your input. Please send any suggestions to:

I will update you regularly over the summer.

School Superintendent

8th Grade Nature on Wheels Program

Our 8th grade students participated in a Nature on Wheels program here at CCS in early June. Due to covid restrictions, they were not able to travel to our planned site at Nature's Classroom, so instead, Ms. Lakeman and Ms. Snider worked to bring the program to us. Students participated in hand-on science-based inquiry activities and team building in our own outdoor classroom space for two days. On the third day, they traveled off campus to Mt. Major and participated in a N.O.W. directed hike. The program staff worked incredibly hard to provide a meaningful and fun experience to our students, as they knew how much they had been looking forward to an overnight trip. Ms. Lakeman has already begun planning for next year's trip, and we look forward to bringing our students to a new site!

Kona Ice at CCS! Thank you, Chichester PTO!

On Monday, June 14th, the Chichester PTO arranged for Kona Ice to visit our school as a treat to celebrate the end of the school year. Students and staff were treated to self-serve ice cones, and fun was had by all. If you're interested in becoming involved with the Chichester PTO, check out their active Facebook page, where they share events, meetings, and upcoming information.

Congratulations to Camdyn Despres!

Graduating 8th grader, Camdyn Despres recently earned a perfect score on her Algebra entrance exam for Pembroke Academy. All 8th grade students that have taken Algebra here at CCS are eligible to take this exam before entering PA. If they have a qualifying score, then they are able to receive high school credit for Algebra. Congratulations to all 8th grade students from CCS!
