Stilwell Monday Message

Weekly Student and Family Communication

Monday - 8/31/2020

Good morning Stilwell students and families,

Today will be an EVEN day. Students will be attending periods 2, 4, 6, and 7. We will be reviewing our use of lockers at the end of this week. We appreciate your patience with this change as work to support students with new routines to help keep our Stilwell community healthy.

Students please remember to wear your student ID each day to school. You are welcome to change your lanyard to personalize your look. Our student IDs will help aid in ordering lunch as well as checking our books in our media center.

Just a reminder that we will NOT have school on Friday, September 4th.

Thank you again for your partnership with us during this unique school year.

Erica Whittle - Principal

Building Opening and Closing Hours

Each morning the building will open to students at 7:15 am. Students riding their bikes, walk or receiving rides should be using the west entrance that faces Grand Avenue. Students riding the bus will use the south entrance that faces Vine Street.

Each afternoon the building will close to students 10 minutes after the last bell. This would be 2:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and would be 2:00 on Wednesdays. We are asking that all students have left the Stilwell campus 20 minutes after the last bell.

Parking Lot Protocol

We understand our parking lot drop-off and pick-up process can be time-consuming. However, we need all families to follow the procedures to ensure our students are safe. Please remember these guidelines:

  • Do not drop off your student or stop for any reason along Vine Street.
  • Do not pull into the bus lanes along Vine Street.
  • Do not allow your student to exit the vehicle until you have pulled up to the curb in the parking lot.
  • Please drive slowly through the parking lot and on Vine St.

Stilwell Student Handbook 20-21

Throughout this year you may have questions, need clarifications, or might need to see who you can turn to for help. Please start with the Junior High Schools Handbook.
Managing Your Parent Account in Canvas

All students will continue using Canvas similarly to last year. Please visit the following links for additional information in order to pair families with their student's canvas accounts.
