New Teacher Introduction

Ms. Ashley Rhodes

Dear 5th Grade Parents,

I would like to take the time to introduce myself to you so that we may begin to build a strong relationship and understanding for this year. I am an Indiana University graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I am also certified through the state of Indiana to teach K-6th.

Since graduating from Indiana University I've gained a substantial amount of teaching experience. I have refined my teaching abilities through teaching both in and outside the United States. I take pride in establishing one-on-one relationships with my students and their parents; getting to know them as individuals and not just as a class. This type of relationship helps build a support team and allows me to better understand the needs of any student and how they can best be taught.

I truly look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your child better. If you ever have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is ashley.rhodes@pac.dodea.edu

Sincerely,

Ashley Rhodes

Math: Blendspace Videos

It has been brought to my attention by some of the students that they are having problems watching the videos on blendspace for math homework at night. I want to give the link again for both parents and students to use (https://www.blendspace.com/davidwray). You can also google "blendspace David Wray" and click on his webpage. If this does not work the students will always have the option to take home the math book and write down their notes from there. The videos are used as another source for understanding the math concept but they are not mandatory to watch. If you are having problems with blendspace at home or have any questions for me please let me know.

Progress Reports

If you have not seen your child's progress report please have them log into gradespeed and show you. I know that many of them have already checked their current grades while in class, but I am not sure if they have passed the information on to you. If your child does not remember their username and password for gradespeed have them ask me and I will write it down for them to use.
