Couple of Items
- Smartwatches/Phones: These devices must be in School Mode or turned off. Teachers are reporting that students are getting phone calls and messages during the day. The buzzing of the watches and phones is a distraction for your child as well as those around them. I changed the LAF Policy based on feedback from parents due to the unfortunate world we are living in now. This policy change can not begin to impact instruction for your child as well as others. Our academic time together is too precious and short. Please do not text or call your child during the day.
- Gum Chewing & Candy: There is a significant increase in students chewing gum during school, trading, and taking candy from others. Gum chewing is becoming a distraction and the stealing of candy is unacceptable. With Halloween right around the corner, I know that we will see an increase in candy coming to school. Please remind your child to only eat their items at lunch and there is no gym chewing in school.
