Kindergarten Fire House Field Trip
Sitting in the Fire Truck
Students are learning how the fire squad responds to calls.
Kindergarten students went on a tour at the Three Bridges Fire House. Firefighters talked to the students about fire safety, and students had the opportunity to sit on a fire truck.
Second and Third Grade Field Trips to Princeton University
The Art of Comprehension
Second and third grade students learned to analyze art work by applying the Access Lenses to assess the mood the artist was portraying. Museum docents shared some pieces from the collection in the Princeton University Art Museum where the guides led discussions interpreting the art while utilizing the lenses the students were taught. This was great practice in using evidence to support the students' thinking.
Mrs. K-B's Class Studied Skeletal Bones and Joints
Music with Mrs. Levesque
“BOO-TIFUL” music filled the TBS Music Room in October when second graders composed their own four-beat rhythm patterns.
Under the direction of Rutgers student teacher Ms. Emiri Shintani, Mrs. Lewis’ Grade 3 class brought the music of composer Johannes Brahms to life. Her baseball-themed active listening experience was a big “hit” with the students!
Readington's Officer Gilmurray visited lunches at TBS to share his safety message with the students. Thank you to all of our officers for making our schools your priority.
MakerSpace
Mrs. O'Connor's First Graders visited our MakerSpace to learn the design process and worked to trap the runaway pumpkin.
