5 Year- No Drug Activity CLub

In Middle Schools Any kids Can Join!

Weekly Activities

To keep kids wanting to join our club we weekly go to the trampoline park or go out to eat. This keeps kids wanting to come, bring their friends and it keeps them off the streets.

Purpose?

Over 570,000 kids under the age of 18 die from drugs every year. This club will keep kids educated on how this could easily happen to them and how to prevent it.

We will provide counseling services as well as activities in case kids feel the pressure to do drugs.

It will start at Boyle County Middle School and move around through other middle schools.

The Bill For This Club

Preamble: Whereas we the students of Boyle County Middle School will propose an act to teach about drugs and how to stop drugs with intermediate kids. It will teach about different ways to help kids quit problems and act as a club as well.

(last) Enacting clause- It will be hereby enacted immediately after review and approval by

Section 1: Over 46,000 teens do drugs and die from them. Yes there are ways to quit drugs but in school you're not taught how to quit them. This club will inform intermediate students about drugs with a new approach. Teens dont know the different ways they could quit drugs until it’s almost too late. For example the 12 step drug program is for people who are addicted to drugs, therefore teen who had never done drugs before would not know about this program until they almost died. Our program is a five year program for kids to learn about quitting drugs so if they get addicted they would know how to quit. However the club will also be focusing on teaching how bad drugs can be with real life experiences. The club will last for 5 years and will be open to anyone this way kids can be free of drugs for at least 5 years and continue to join and be free for 5 more years. Funding will be distributed to the counseling the club provides and the trips they will take.

Section 2: For 5 years we educate intermediate students about why not to do drugs and how to quit drugs in case they need to help other people. We go on lots of trips to make people want to stay in the club and to keep them from going to other places and doing drugs. It will be funded through the Kentucky Department for Public Health. The money will be distributed to the counseling services we have based on how many we have and the size of the group of people in the club. Based on the Drug and Medical abuse program more than ¾ of the kids who join become drug free and are educated more and more about drugs. This way we can prevent kids from starting drugs.

Section 3: IT will be enforced like an after school program. The club is based off 5 year program Medical drug abuse which help teens become unaddicted to their medical drugs. Our difference is we educate non drug abusers as well. This will allow all schools to provide this helpful drug program for their students.

Section 4: It will be funded through the Kentucky Department for Public Health. The money will be distributed to the counseling services we have based on how many we have and the size of the group of people in the club

Enacting clause- It will be hereby enacted immediately after review and approval by the boyle county board of administration.
