COVID Self Reporting
The COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form, found on the hseschools.org, has been updated!
· The online form now allows you to provide the information nurses need to calculate a timeline of return for your student after a COVID situation arises.
· Once the COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form is completed, you will receive an email with the date of return for your student along with helpful information about their return to school.
· If you use the form, you do not need to call or email the nurse, building and/or teacher to inform them, your online submission will take care of that.
· If additional information is needed, the school nurse may reach out to you.
We believe using this new COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form will assist our school nurses and buildings in communication efficiency, and will save you time as well.
Thank You!

Summary:
In this week’s lesson, students discover that the internet can be used for visiting faraway places and learning new things. Students will learn rules for traveling safely on the internet.
Try This at Home:
Discuss with your child how going on the internet is much like going on an actual trip or adventure. We always have a trusted adult with us to help, we stay in safe places and on safe websites, and we never talk to strangers

First Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, students pictured their thoughts as bubbles, that stick around for a little while and then pop. When a thought bubble gets stuck and we keep thinking about it over and over, that could cause the feeling of worry. Students practiced imagining the stuck thoughts and taking deep breaths to blow them away.
Try This at Home:
Ask your child to teach you how to take deep breaths that can help blow your worries away. (Breathe in through nose, belly expands, breathe out through mouth, belly comes back in).
Summary:
In this week’s lesson your child will learn about the three parts of their brains that help them think and respond to stress.

Fourth Grade
Summary:
In this week’s lesson, your child will work with a team to see how many different ways they can rethink a variety of situations.
Try This at Home:
With your child, create a “Rethink It!” chart to display at home. Make a list of questions that everyone can use to rethink when emotions are taking over and you just need a little help to see things in a different way.
