Dear Parents, Mrs. Hochman, one of our 3rd grade teachers will be starting intensive chemotherapy on Tuesday for inoperable breast cancer. The school will be wearing pink on Tuesday to show our support for her. If your child has something pink to wear, please allow them to do so on Tuesday. We will be sending pictures of the event to Mrs. Hochman to help lift her spirits. I will have pink ribbons for those who cannot find something pink. THANKS!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Our annual family field trip to the MN Zoo will be on Thursday, June 4th! Families are invited to join their first grader for a trip to the MN Zoo. You can either ride the bus with us or meet us at the zoo. The fees are greatly discounted, so it can be a great way to visit the zoo. Any parents attending the zoo with us MUST have a completed background check. Please make sure you have completed this before joining us at the zoo! Let me know if you need forms!
Our Parent Appreciation program will be on Tuesday, May 12th at 12:45. PLEASE SEE THE LINK BELOW WITH DETAILS ABOUT SELECTING A POEM FOR THE PROGRAM! PLEASE HELP YOUR CHILD SELECT THEIR POEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE WILL BEGIN PRACTICING READING THE POEMS THIS WEEK IN SCHOOL. PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THE POEM ONCE IT IS SELECTED SO THAT I MAY HELP THEM AT SCHOOL AS WELL.
We are loving Seesaw's digital portfolio. I hope you are enjoying seeing your child's work in real time as soon as it is posted. They LOVE to make you proud! Just to let you know I will be reviewing and marking work through Seesaw, not on the paper copy. This includes spelling tests. If they bring home a paper that is not marked/graded----check for it in Seesaw.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHARGE iPADS AT HOME EACH NIGHT! We use them a lot and they need a full charge to make it through the day.
