PBL Idea:

This project seems more like a 3-5 project but you get the idea and can adjust for your kiddos as you see fit!

Spring time brings more than just nice weather, green trees, and healthy gardens. The season also provides the perfect excuse to get together and have fun. Just this past weekend, thousands of people attended Jazz Fest in New Orleans, and thousands more went to the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Of course, most people will wait to attend whatever celebration is being planned in their hometown, whether it's the "Peach Festival" or "Artisphere" or the "Azalea Parade"... you get the idea.

Those local gatherings are the inspiration for this week's exercise. Students are going to plan a festival for their own hometown... something that highlights the history, people, or economy of the area. They must decide on the theme, along with the entertainment and other attractions that will be offered. Then, they will decide on the best way to get the word out to their target audience (families, community members, tourists, etc.).

Teacher SLO Meetings

Administrators will be reaching out to teachers to schedule a 5 minute meeting to discuss end of the year SLO's. Teachers should have all data in Frontline by Friday, May 17th. There will be no PLC meeting this week to allow teachers to submit their data.

****There will be an Elective Team PLC Meeting on Friday at 8 a.m. in the Library to review Class Lists for the 2019-2020 school year.

April Attendance Slides

See below for a morning meeting regarding attendance. I will be running a report to find all students with 88-90% attendance. We need these students to be PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the last 9 days of school! It is our final push to get our 90/90 attendance goal. TALK IT UP! Thanks.
