You will be reactivated when eLearning starts on Wednesday, July 3rd.
There is no need to fill out the password reset request unless you don't have access on July 3rd

The eLearning Orientation course begins June 24th, 2019
In addition, students will receive some important tips to assist with the navigation of virtual learning environment Brightspace by D2L and directions for signing up for course notifications and the use of other productivity tools to help to support students in their eLearning journey this semester.
If a student has completed a previous version of the student orientation course, they will need to access the course assigned to this semester and complete the required tasks as there have been many exciting changes to the tools and productivity of the virtual learning environment recently. Students will need to complete the course and submit their digital award of completion to their eLearning teacher on Wednesday July, 3rd, 2019
It is very important to ensure that students ensure that they can login to Brightspace by D2L , prior to June 24th, 2019.
The ORIENTATION COURSE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS UNTIL MONDAY JUNE 24th, 2019
The completion of the student orientation course is mandatory. Students will be issued digital Brightspace 'badge' when they successfully complete the course.
Students should plan to have the orientation course completed by Friday, June 28th , 2019.
DPCDSB Credit Courses begin Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019. Students will not have access to these courses prior to this date.
Students who require further information on logging into the Brightspace by D2L should see the "Login" information provided below.
Students will not have access to the Orientation Course Prior to June 24th.
Important Dates, Information and Expectations:
- Your teacher will provide you with all of the important dates throughout your course. Please note that for those eLearning courses that have exams, eLearning Final Exams will take place on Monday, July 29th, 2019. From 8:30AM - 10:30 AM
- To be removed from a course, you must complete the eLearning summer school drop form, have it signed by a parent or guardian and submit to your teacher or District eLearning Contact Kelly MacDougall by July 22nd, 2019
- Please login to your eLearning Orientation Course on June 24th and complete the module by July 2nd at 11:59 PM.
- Successful completion of the orientation is required. You will receive a digital badge of completion upon successful completion.
- Please login to your course, connect with your teacher and begin going through your credit eLearning course on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019.
- You are expected to log in to your course every school day (Monday through Friday -beginning July 3rd), if for some reason you are unable to do so, please communicate with your eLearning teacher using the Brightspace by D2L email system.
- The orientation course that you will be participating in, will teach you how to navigate the virtual learning environment, how to be successful eLearning students, how to manage your time appropriately and how to create a great digital footprint.
- It will be very important to manage your time effectively and to communicate with your teacher if you have any questions or need clarification about any of the course content or assignments. Please see the section below called "Tips for Being a Great eLearning Student" to review some great strategies.
- Just like your face-to-face courses, students are expected to follow the Catholic Graduate Expectations through their interactions with their classmates and teacher. To review these expectations please see the "Catholic Graduate Expectations" section below.
- Just like your face to face courses, you are expected to log in to your course each school day, to participate in course activities and to seek clarification and to ask questions as you work through your course.
- Keep the lines of communication open with your teacher.
- If you want to meet face to face with your eLearning teacher. They will be available to meet with you at Loyola Catholic District School Board (Library Second Floor) 4010 Sladeview Cres. Mississauga ON, L5L6B1 from (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) each Wednesday and on exam review day - July 30th, 2019

How do I login?
If you are trying to access Brightspace by D2L from home, go to https://dpcdsb.elearningontario.ca and use your network credentials. (the username and password that you use to access board computers. studentnumber@educ.dpcdsb.org
To access from a DPCDSB school, students may also connect directly through the DP Student Dashboard (image below) by clicking here if they accessing internet or WI-FI from a DPCDSB school. Click on the "Brightspace" icon to access the site.
Please note: If you are unable to login to a DPCDSB computer because you have forgotten your password, please reset your password by accessing the DPCDSB Password reset tool by clicking here.
If you have yet to set up your ability to reset your own password, you will need to have your network password reset at your home school.
It is strongly recommended that you set up your DPCDSB Password Reset - Self Registration as soon as possible if you have yet to do so. This will ensure that you will have access to the network at all times. For instructions in doing so, please click here.
The recommended browser to use when working in Brightspace by D2L is Google Chrome or Mozzilla Firefox..

If you have not, you will need to have a teacher at school use their student management tool to reset your network password in person.
Help I can't log in! I haven't signed up for the DPCDSB password reset tool.
These requests will be process on Wednesday, July 3rd as we don't have the ability to reset until the courses are active on the 3rd of July.
How to find your Orientation Course in Brightspace by D2L - On June 24th
- Once you have logged into Brightspace by D2L, navigate to the "Course Selection Waffle" and click on it.
- From the Dropdown, select "DPCDSB eLearning Orientation Course 1819Sem2"
- Once you have click on the name of the course (indicated above) you will be taken to main page of the course.
- Read the message in the "Announcement" for further directions in getting started.

If you can login to Brightspace by D2l but you do not have access to the Student Orientation Course, please scroll to the bottom of this page to contact Ms. MacDougall for support.

Exams can be viewed from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Final Grades will be provided through Brightspace by D2L.
Grade 12 Grades will be uploaded to OUAC during the week of August 6th, 2019

If you have difficulties logging in to the computer network, please use the password reset tool. If you haven't previously signed up for the reset tool, please connect with one of your teachers at your home school to have your network password reset using the student management tool.
Ms. MacDougall is unable to reset network passwords.
