Colebrookdale Welcomes the Board of School Directors' to Mrs. Cronin's 2nd Grade Poetry Cafe

Colebrookdale Elementary School hosted our Committee of the Whole Meeting for October. Mrs. Cronin's 2nd-grade students welcomed the Board and the public into their Poetry Cafe, sharing five poems, including Spooky Chatter, Keep A Poem in Your Pocket, School, I'm Ready, and Fuzzy Wuzzy. In turn, laughter, applause, and kudos resonated throughout the school's cafeteria. Ten 2nd-grade students brought the house down in front of a room full of adults while practicing their reading fluency and decoding skills and demonstrating that poetry makes learning fun!
