Wildcat News -- It's Our Time
January 6-10, 2020
A Note from your Principal:
We are heading into the most crucial time of the year and must ensure that we are prepared to give 100% every single day we step foot through these doors--our students are counting on us! We must ensure that our soul focus is on high quality teaching and learning.
I know that we can meet our goals because we have the best staff and teachers out there, a staff that believes in educational excellence and the mission we have set forth. We know that we have work to do, work that requires continued commitment, focus and collaboration and with this at the forefront of all that we do, we will succeed!!
We are looking forward to an amazing 2nd semester!
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." --Emerson

- Lesson Plans are due EVERY Friday Evening @ 7pm.
- Please make sure that we are using the walkie-talkies for Level III offenses, nurse, or buddy room escorts. For minor infractions in the classroom setting (use your restorative practices, safe seat, buddy rooms) before calling for administration or sending students to the office. Behavioral Strategies:
Students are very eager to return back to school and to return to a structured environment and schedule. We know that this will be a struggle for many of our students, so here are some tips...........
Getting your class back on track after WINTER BREAK:
- Engage in proactive and engaging community circle activities.
- Review your classroom and school-wide rules and procedures
- Use your Tier 1 Behavioral Strategies (Verbal warning, redirection, safe seat, buddy room).
- Follow the discipline flow-chart, before using your walkie-talkie.
- Ensure students understand the expectations for a buddy room, this is not just a meaningless break time.
- When students return from the Buddy Room, welcome those students back with open arms and restorative conversations-- this is a crucial component of restorative justice.
- Use your ROAR tickets, students enjoy the school-wide incentive. This month we will be working on getting a total of 250+ tickets for each classroom in order to tape Mrs. Enders to the gym wall! (See email!)
