Attendance Update

Thank you to all of our students, parents, guardians, teachers and staff members for helping get all of our students logged in to Zoom everyday. Our attendance rate is 97%. Please continue showing up daily. Also, please remember that the day does not end at the end of the Zoom meeting. All students have asynchronous work to complete in Google Classroom (for FLEX students) and in Acellus (for MILES students). Please check in with your students to see if they are completing their daily work.

Upcoming Events

See the flyers below regarding some really fun events coming up for our students. On Friday, October 30, 2020, VFit will be hosting a 30 minute move and groove Pumpkin KidFit workout class.

On October 31, MHS ASB is hosting a drive through trick or treat experience for our entire school district. Please drive up, in costume, with a mask, at Mammoth High School from 12:00-2:00pm and pick up a sweet treat from each school site.

School Site Council

Have you been looking for a way to get involved at school? School Site Council is a great way to volunteer your time with the school and make a difference at MES. We are currently accepting nominations. Please contact Principal Alvarado or Mrs. McMillian this week

MUSD Updates

Please check your Parent Square notifications as well as the MUSD website for notifications when the school buildings need to be closed due to poor air quality.

The school board met last week regarding reopening of MUSD. We are now in phase 2 and bringing in some small groups of students to Mammoth Elementary School. For any questions regarding reopening, please visit mammothusd.org and click the School Reopening tab.

Lunch Program

Free school lunches are available from MUSD for all families regardless of income qualification. Pick up is between 12:00-1:00pm at Mammoth High School and from 11:30-12:30 at Crowley Lake Community Center.

We still encourage all families to fill out an online meal application form. Click here to fill out your meal application online.

Sponsor Spotlight: The Troutfitter, John's Pizza Works, Snowcreek Golf and Eastern Sierra Land Survey

This week we are highlighting four amazing local businesses that have been so incredibly supportive of MES. Help us show them just how much we appreciate them by sending them some business this week! Don't forget to show them your Local Supporter card when you are checking out!

Spotlight Businesses of the Week:

The Troutfitter

John's Pizza Works

Snowcreek Golf

and

Eastern Sierra Land Surveys

To participate, visit any Spotlight Business during that week. When you checkout, show them your Local Business Supporter card to receive a hole punch on your card. Once you collect 10 punches, you will win a small prize from the PTO as thank you for helping us support our supporters!

Local Business Supporter cards were included in the Fun Run bags, but if you did not receive one, we will be leaving extra cards at both Elixir and Bleu.
