Ridgeview Review
Week 27 ~ March 23, 2015
Transformational Teaching and Learning
There are many things at Ridgeview that we are doing to address this need and transform learning. For example, implementation of Common Formative Assessments, the VESTED instructional delivery, Professional Learning Communities to work together to help students progress, increased literacy work with students, and investigative learning opportunities.
KISD is supporting the Engaged Learning Model as an additional instructional model to transform education for ALL students. In addition to really transforming the delivery of the curriculum and the learning experiences for students in the ELM/PBL unit, we have found that components of the model enhance all content areas and have really helped students own their learning. It supports our growing effort to differentiate learning and create experiences that are authentic and truly meaningful for students.
Many schools in KISD have begun implementation of this model of instruction. To learn more about it and "be ahead of the game", use the links below.

Ridgeview R.O.C.K.s on Wednesdays!
Wednesday's will be R.O.C.K. days at Ridgeview! All Wednesdays between now and the end of the year, you may wear jeans if you wear a KellerISD R.O.C.K. t-shirt. This can be the new ones that were just ordered, or the white and blue one that we offered last year. Let's show our students that we believe in the power of Character and Kindness!
Early Resignation Notification Incentive - Deadline Extended
In order to assist campuses with planning for the 2015-16 school year, Keller ISD is again offering an Early Resignation Notification Incentive of $750 to the first 100 teachers and other professional instructional staff such as counselors, librarians, diagnosticians, LSSP, nurses, etc. who submit a resignation/retirement letter to their campus principal by March 31, 2015. This early notification will help principals determine staffing and recruitment needs for next year.
In addition, teachers who submit their letter by March 31, 2015 will receive an additional $250 for perfect attendance from April 1 through the end of the school year. To be eligible, the employee must be on a probationary, term or continuing contract. This information is in DWW on February 25th.
