Climate in prairies
Climates are more moist close to the mountains and to the east and north; they are driest in the central region. This creates different types of prairies, with the tallgrass prairie, known as the true prairie, in the wetter parts.
Big Bluestem grass
This grass is also called Turkey feet because the shape of the seed heads look like turkey feet.
Indian Grass
Indian grass is usually found in eastern united states and Canada.
Little bluestem grass
In every county in Kansas they have reported that there is little blue stem grass there
Prairie Dogs
Prairie dogs live in colony's. They burrow into the ground and make under ground homes.
Badgers
There are eight different types of badger one of them is the honey badger. A male badger is called a bow and female badger is called a sow
Toads
Toads can play dead, or puff themselves up to appear bigger if they feel threatened by predators.
If a Forest fire happened...
If a forest fire happened it would burn all the food for the animals then some animals would die which makes the animal that eats the animal that dies also dies and goes on till the top of the food chain dies.
