Chapman Charger Staff Update
5/11/19
Week #34!
Good Afternoon Chapman Staff!
I hope you are having a great weekend. Please make sure that I have any evidence that you want me to review as I complete our summative assessments. This will be a whirlwind the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
My understanding is that the evidence items that you have uploaded to STAGES will transfer over to the new system. However, please make sure you have a copy for your own records. (Many of you already have these saved as PDF's) We know, even with the best intentions, things don't always go the way intended.
Thank you to those that were able to get me their evidence uploaded or given to me before I left on Thursday.
We are going to start cleaning/packing the media center. If you have anything stored in the media center, please think about beginning the packing process or marking the items that you are keeping. There are many items in the media center that do not belong. Any personal or grade level teaching materials that are stored in the media center will need to be stored in the classroom throughout the summer. All excess furniture (storage or extra tables) will also need to be put into classrooms over the summer.
Summative Evaluations: A calendar and email was sent last week about summative evaluations. If you need more time with assessments, please see me individually. I realize the F and P window is open till the 24th. It is important that you start assessing students when the window opens. All reading groups should not stop for assessments. If you need assistance with this planning, please see me and I can help. We are all trying to meet our deadlines. I am willing to work with all of you.
We have just over 4 weeks left of the school year. It is a busy time and there is a lot to be done. We need to work as a team and help each other out. We will all have stressful days coming up. Help a team member that you may see struggling with kind and/or supportive words. If you need anything, please ask. The added construction is stressful but exciting at the same time- keep the end game in mind. We are going to have an amazing building to come back to for the 2019-2020 school year.
Please make sure that your accommodation logs are up to date and accurate.
Kindergarten has Morning Duty this week! Pack your smiles! We are the first people that students see at Chapman in the morning!
