The Beautiful Country of Norway

Introduction
Traveling to Norway
Imagine a place where the midnight sun meets the horizon, where the Northern Lights dance across the Arctic sky in a breathtaking display, and where ancient traditions meet modern innovation in perfect harmony. This is Norway, a nation that captivates with its stunning landscapes, vibrant cities, and a deep-rooted connection to its natural wonders. Norway was founded in 1905 but has been lived in for over 10,000 years by those that were known as Vikings (Gale in Context, 2022). “Norway occupies the western part of the Scandinavian peninsula in northern Europe, with almost one-third of the country situated north of the Arctic Circle (Gale in Context, 2022). The population is around 4.3 million people which is only about 13.58% of the population of America (Ipanteco, 2017). Culturally, Norway is vastly different from any other country in the world as it has practices and beliefs that are specific to the area. Some being the practices of the Sami, a native group that has lived in Norway since the early 15th century (Cultures of Norway, 2020). The capital city of Norway, Oslo is known throughout the world for being one of the most sustainable (8th in the world), housing the headquarters of the United Nations and even hosting the noble peace prize assembly every year. It is also known to have drastically low crime rates, a very friendly population and is constantly ranked as the top as best city to visit or even live in (Simons, 2023). From the history, daily life and culture of Norway, this is what should be known before planning a vacation.
