The Allied Soccer team had an outstanding season with much improvement as the season progressed. Due to county re-alignments, they were able to see their friends of Hereford, Dulaney, and Parkville two times during the regular season. The 2019 Pumpkin Bowl was an incredible event, hosting all the teams in the county and where Towson got to show their talents under the lights at Franklin’s stadium. Special thanks to Sophie Harrell, Sandy Bailey, and Abby Letocha for 4 fun-filled years playing Allied Soccer!

Wins over Franklin 6-1, Franklin 3-0, and Atholton 3-0
JV Girls Soccer
The Girls JV soccer team recorded an 8-2-1 record and finished the season as County Champions with a win in a double overtime thriller against undefeated Hereford in the County Championship game! Led by some good juju, great play, and even better cupcakes made by a team parent, the team hit its stride in the middle of the year after they lost to Hereford to go undefeated the rest of the way including HUGE wins of Perry Hall, and of course…DULANEY! Those wins propelled the team into the County Championship game where they would redeem themselves against Hereford when it counted most. Amazing effort from all the players throughout the season.
JV Boys Soccer
The Baltimore County JV first division was extremely competitive this year. At least 5 of the 8 teams were fully capable of winning the County Championship. Our record of 5 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws were not enough to qualify for the county championship game but represented a successful season against tough competition. Led by captains Zach Sales, Gabe Itriago and leading scorer Conner Hardy, the JV generals outscored their opponents 21 goals to 9. The defense, led by Captain Justin Mealy, Boomer Osborne and goalkeepers Parker Fong and Noah Korman recorded three shutouts and gave up more than one goal only 3 times in 9 games.

Each girl improved and overcame different adversities. As a team they did a great job of positively building each other up. The last couple of league games all the girls experienced improvement individually and as a team. The girls matured as athletes, learning how to stay in games mentally. 2 JV players were moved up to varsity and contributed in both regional playoff games.

Winter Sports Schedules
The Towson High School Sports Boosters are volunteers dedicated to improving our student-athletes’ experience by supporting all 40 of the school’s team sports. Because Baltimore County only provides funding for coaches’ salaries, officials’ fees, and bus transportation to away games, THS must fund all other athletic program expenses
The THS Boosters raise funds through membership dues, operating the concessions stand at home games, and through events such as the annual Bull and Oyster Roast. THS Sports Boosters support has led capital improvement campaigns – including a new scoreboard, the turf field, and stadium bleachers’ expansion (2019) – and funds the purchase of new uniforms, team equipment and game supplies, student-athlete recognition awards, and even awards for two graduating seniors.

Justin Nash-Athletic Director
Mr. Nash is entering his 16th year as an educator in Baltimore County Public Schools and his 6th as the Generals Athletic Director.
Prior to Towson, he spent 8 years as the Athletic Director at Dundalk High School and 2 years as a Special Education teacher at Hereford High School. Mr. Nash is a graduate of Calvert Hall College High School where he played baseball for 4 years under legendary Head Coach Joe Binder. Mr. Nash was drafted by the New York Yankees shortly after his Senior year in high school but declined the offer, so he could accept a baseball scholarship at Penn State. While at Penn State, Mr. Nash earned his teaching certification and BS in Special Education. After four years at Penn State, Mr. Nash was then drafted again, but this time it was by his hometown team, the Baltimore Orioles. After spending several years in the Orioles minor league farm system, Mr. Nash’s career came to an end after several season ending injuries.
Shortly after his professional baseball career ended, his passion for coaching and teaching lead him to the Baltimore County School system where he would begin his teaching career. Along the way he met his beautiful wife Erika, who currently teaches at Towson High School and became a very proud father to Harper and Christian.
