A Message from Dr. Cain
The Annual United Way Campaign Kicks off Monday
Good Afternoon,
I am pleased to share that we will be kicking off the annual WSD United Way campaign on Monday. Over the past decade, District employees have generously given over $100,000 to the United Way!
Last year, 49 of you generously raised over $5,700 for the United Way of Greater St. Louis. I am confident with over 2,500 employees that we can do even better! Our goal this year is $8,000 and I am confident that together, we can reach that goal.
Remember a gift to the United Way is helping people right here in our community. Together, our gifts will help a person find a job, a child receive after-school care or an elderly person receive a hot meal. When you make a gift to the United Way, you aren’t supporting one cause or one agency. You’re supporting a wide range of services that help people with a wide range of needs, including adults and children right here in the WSD.
Next week, you’ll receive the official campaign kickoff email that will link you to an easy and secure way to make your pledge to the United Way. In the meantime, we invite you to learn more about the United Way’s impact in our community, as well as meet some of the individuals and families who’ve been helped by your support of United Way.
Our United Way campaign will run for three weeks, and during that time you will receive several email reminders. Together, we can help. Please join the WSD and your fellow employees by making a pledge this year to help people in our community. Through United Way, when you reach out to one, you’re helping us all.
Thank you,
Dr. Curtis Cain
