From The Principal's Desk
Greetings North Wales Families,
We had such a great week with your students and we are looking forward to a great week ahead. Parent teacher conferences are Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th. Reminder school is closed for students.
Mark your calendars: The school store is this week!
Each grade (1-6) will have one day to shop:
*4th and 5th grade - Wednesday 11/09
*3rd and 6th grade - Thursday 11/10
*1st and 2nd grade - Friday 11/11
(Kindergarten tbd….we will likely open up to kindergarten later in the year)
The store is open during morning arrival and will be set up in each grade’s hallway. Items range from $0.25 - $3.00. **CASH ONLY** (Please send cash in with your student on their assigned day if they would like to purchase any items)
Lastly, we are still in need of a few parent volunteers for 4/5 grade and 3/6 grade in order to run the store: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/30e0f4ba4a62da5fa7-nwschool
This is a fun way for students to support our Home and School. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Girls On The Run Program
Girls on the Run is an evidence-based program (for grades 3,4,&5) that inspires all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision making skills. Dynamic lessons instill valuable life skills including the important connection between physical and emotional health.
The program focuses on movement more than running. It is not necessary to be a runner or an athlete to participate in the program.
We will meet twice a week after school until 5:15pm. Practice starts the last week of February and runs for about 10 weeks (20 practices). *If there is no school, there is no Girls on the Run.*
The 5K celebration is scheduled for 5/21/23. Please note, this is the rain date for the Iron Knights Triathlon. If these events end up on the same day, we can find a way for your girl to participate in both (if they want).
If you have additional questions, please reach out to Jessica Levine jhaaslevine@gmail.com
Cultural Highlight of the Week
Native Americans had discovered America and founded their lives and communities there. Native American history overflows with a variety of diverse groups and prominent leaders and figures like Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Sacagawea, and Pocahontas. Native Americans were always known for hard work and quick instinct. Today, there are about 4.5 million Native Americans in the United States, making up about 1.5 percent of our population. Take some time to learn about and celebrate their culture this month.
Veteran's Day- Friday, November 11th
This month is also National Veterans and Military Families Month. We are honoring veterans and military families for their service, sacrifices, and contributions for what they have done and continue to do everyday to support our great nation. It’s appropriate that during this special month we give thanks for what we have and hold dear – the blessings of freedom secured for us by our service members and their families.
