Lincoln Middle School -- Weekend Update
Lincoln Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful week!
The Lincoln Spring Cabaret is happening tonight (Friday) and tomorrow! Tickets are on sale at the entrance for $5. See our talented students perform at 7:00 pm either night, as it will surely be a big hit and crowd-pleaser! This would be an excellent opportunity for families to enjoy an outstanding performance together. I am so proud of the students and staff working incredibly hard to put this show together.
Please consider coming to either performance to support our students. The doors to the audience open at 6:30 pm each night.

PTO NEWS
WE HAVE "NACHO AVERAGE STAFF" AT LINCOLN: Our annual Staff Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 8-12 and we're proud to celebrate our 'Nacho Average Staff" this year with a week of appreciation events. We need your help to make this week successful. We have volunteer opportunities including donating food items or volunteering to help set up/clean up our events. Most importantly, encourage your student to write notes of appreciation to all their teachers/staff! Please review the attached flyer and sign-up today!
FIVE BELOW FUNDRAISER: We are having another fundraiser at Five Below! From May 7th through May 13th, the Lincoln PTO will receive a donation of 10% of the sales generated by Lincoln families! Please make sure to bring the attached flyer to get credit for Lincoln.
EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS: We are looking for baby pictures for all of the soon-to-be graduates! Please send a 4x6 photo of your eighth grader to the Lincoln office and be sure to write the student's name on the back of the photo. Make sure you have a copy for yourself because, unfortunately, this photo will not be returned to you. Photos were originally due today but we will continue to accept photos through Friday, April 28th!
SIXTH GRADE EVENT: Stay tuned for signup info for our next 6th-grade event! We will be doing a PRIVATE SHOWING of The Super Mario Brothers Movie at AMC Randhurst on Thursday, May 11th. Arrival will begin at 5:30 pm and the movie will start promptly at 6 pm. There are only 75 spots available so make sure to sign up as soon as you see the link!
BOARD POSITIONS AND COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Parents, are you interested in being more involved in your child's Lincoln experience? There are tons of ways to get involved! We are not only looking to fill open board positions for the 2023-2024 school year, but we also have a number of committees that need a lead! Some of the events that need a chair are Color Run, Staff Appreciation, Boosters, Sponsorships, Passive Fundraising (like Dine N Share), Membership Coordination, and Acts of Kindness. Remember that we can't do any of these events without parents! To find out more, please email us at info.lincolnpto@gmail.com and join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, May 9th at 7 pm in the teacher's lounge. Board positions and committee chairs will be appointed at this time!
