Carelot Staff- WELCOME BACK TO WORK
April 17, 2020
Important information! Please read!
Dear Carelot Staff,
We are excited to share with you some great news! Based on the diligient efforts of our Executive Team, we are able to bring all of our staff back to work!
What does this mean exactly??
Do I have to come to my center/place of work daily?
- No - There will be minimal hours that you will have to work at the centers. Safety will be our first priority. Your site managers will be in touch regarding hours, duties and information.
- Hours/days can/may be flexible if you are not working directly with the children. Our goal is to continue to follow safety guidelines in order to minimize potential exposure to everyone. This will be in effect until the governor instructs us to begin normal business practices.
When does this start?
- Monday, April 20, 2020 - You will be hired back at your normal hours at this point and we ask that you wait for instructions from your site manager sometime next week. At this time you are being put back on Carelot Payroll as of Monday.
Can I choose to remain on unemployment?
- No. You will no longer be eligible for unemployment as we are offering you to return to work.
What happens if I am asked to work with the children and I refuse?
- First, if you are working with the children you will be receiving extra compensation from a grant we were able to secure with the OEC. We are going to try to minimize a change in staffing for those working with the children to lessen exposure and continue to follow guidelines that are still in effect in our state.
- Second, If you feel that you can't work with children but you want to still assist with other duties we will accommodate you to the best of our ability.
- Third, If you do not want to return to work at all then you do not have to but you will not be elligible for Unemployment Benefits.
We understand there are probably questions running through your heads. We are working diligently everyday to get the most accurate information that is available to us. Our main goal is to keep everyone safe while taking the stress of getting a paycheck off your shoulders.
Safety is our 1st priority for our staff, families and children!
We thank all of you for your patience, team work and committment to our Carelot Family. Your site managers will be in contact with you at the beginning of next week with further instructions and job duties. You do not have to report anywhere other than what you are scheduled if you are already working and those who are not on the schedule will be contacted next week sometime with details and additional information!
As always we are here for questions and we will do our best to answer them or find an answer for them. Have a wonderful weekend and WELCOME "BACK"
