May Professional Development Courses

New PD sessions in May

The feedback from Sayreville University attendees has been very positive and has helped us shape our May course offerings. Seats are limited based on your school.

After you register, please print out your pending confirmation letter and attach to your Professional Day Request. Your seat will not be confirmed until the form is approved by Dr. Shediack's office.

Here are our new offerings:

  • Everything Google! From Google Docs to Google Classroom- come explore ways to streamline your workflow, encourage student writing, create charts and more. There is too much Google for one class so a pre-course survey will help design a class that meets the interest and needs of the attendees! You will get a survey (after you register) to help determine the exact focus of the class. Grades 4-12. Wednesday, May 18 8:30-2:30 at Selover.
  • Visual notetaking If a picture is worth 1000 words, then why are your students creating text notes? Learn the basics of visual notetaking allowing you (and your students) to make stronger connections and improve retention. No drawing skills are required (if you can draw a square, you can create visual notes!). Grades 4-12. Thursday, May 19 8:30-2:30 at Selover. Click here for a sample of a visual note.
