What is a Political Revolution?
Political Revolutions sometimes take place when people do not agree with the government. Political Revolutions often take place when people need a change in government. They could either wipe out their government, or even keep protesting until the government agrees upon the situation. These things can happen all around the world including the Unites States, The middle East, etc. Whatever the problem is, they often lead to a big turning point in the country's history.
The Haitian Revolution
The Haitian Revolution had created the second independent country in the Americas after the United States. Prior to its independence, Haiti was a French colony known as St. Domingue. Their slave-based sugar and coffee industries had been fast growing, but by the time they grew in population, the blacks broke out, and the Americans came to help the whites.
The American Revolution
At this time there were 13 British colonies in North America that was upset over a lack of representation in Parliament. This place took place in 1765 and 1783 and they rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy.
