BTPS Weekly Update

October 12-15, 2021

Superintendent's Memo - Tuesday, October 12, 2021

Hi Staff!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed many blessings over the long weekend. I am grateful for the plentiful food and great weather!

I am excited to share that Heather Rentz was on the news sharing about our collaborative work with Hapara. You can view the newsclip here.

For those of you searching for some professional learning opportunities, all staff have access to the Learning with Leaders Menu of options (resources, webinars, videos, sessions). Use code BTPS with your email.

We continue to have COVID cases in the majority of our schools - see the online news clip at 2:10 here. Last week, I sent a letter with some changes that will be implemented in schools and starting this week, AHS will contact us if we have a COVID case in a school. I am proud of our families and staff who have let us know about the positive cases as we have been transparent in our reporting. Thank you for continuing to follow the guidelines, keeping students and each other safe.

Take care and enjoy the week,

Shirley's Farewell

Shirley Jones worked as a contract custodian for BTPS for almost 26 years. She has worked in Mannville School, Irma School and most recently the BTPS Central Office. We will miss her as she has retired from that position. Her grandbaby will benefit from Shirley having a bit more time on her hands. Shirley continues to drive bus for BTPS and her smile greets some of our bus students in Irma every day!
