PICTURE DAY
Picture day was a huge success! We would like to sincerely thank Merry Beth Hansen and Michele Przybelski for volunteering to help out! You both made the day run so smoothly and we couldn't have done it without you.
As a reminder....
Your child received paperwork at picture day explaining how to view images online and order with their school password and student specific reference number. Here is that information again:
PASSWORD: LINEVILLE2023
REFERENCE NUMBER: FOUND ON THE SHEET RECEIVED AT PICTURE DAY
Reminder that images may take up to a full business day to be available online.
If you do not know your child’s reference number fill out the reference request form to have it emailed to you within one business day.
Please note that orders received more than seven days after picture day may be delayed in processing by up to eight weeks. If you are unable to order online please contact our customer care team and we will work with you to place an order in an alternative way.
**PICTURE RETAKE DAY IS OCTOBER 11TH! If you choose to do a retake you MUST go online to request one by 9/15/23 (Today)
MEDICATION INFORMATION
Medication at School:
For the safety of students, medications should not be taken at school unless it is absolutely necessary. Any medication to be taken at school needs to be brought in by a parent with the proper medication forms.
The medication needs to be in the original container, which indicates dosage amount and frequency of medication. These items will be kept in the health room. Students are not allowed to transport medications. Parents need to bring in medications to school and take them home when a student is finished. Medications will not be given to any student without the proper paperwork on file or if the medication is not in the original container. You can print out the forms needed by clicking on the links below.

COMMUNITY CORNER
NEW Zoo & Adventure Park Volunteer Opportunities
The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is currently in great need of volunteers to help with a variety of experiences, including things like giraffe and children’s zoo feedings, assisting with large zoo events (such as the upcoming “Zoo Boo!”), running the carousel, routine cleaning and maintenance, animal encounters, and much more. The zoo accepts volunteers as young as 8 years old with chaperone assistance, and those ages 15+ can be here on their own. Volunteering at the zoo is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and groups of all sizes, and opportunities are available for both one-time and continuing experiences.
Unlike most accredited zoos in the country, the NEW Zoo is fully self-funded and does not receive any tax support for operations. This means their budget is small and they rely on the community for support! The NEW Zoo is dedicated to conservation and education. Supporting the NEW Zoo helps us achieve our mission of connecting our community with wildlife and nature. To learn more:

GIVING TREE
The Giving Tree is excited for a new school year! More than 600 students were invited to our one Back-to-School event in early August! These students received school supplies, backpacks, socks and underwear. Students were also given oral health care bags, had the opportunity to sign up for in-district dental care, and signed up for free or reduced meal benefits through our School Nutrition department. Families also received food from our pantry. If you think you may qualify for support from The Giving Tree, please reach out to Kourtney Feldhausen at kourfeld@hssdschools.org or call 920-662-7989.
