LMS Eagle Update

Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

STAAR results for the 8th grade have been mailed out. If you haven't already received them in the mail, expect them soon.

The theme for these last few weeks of school is "finish strong!" Encourage our students to take care of the little things like turning in daily assignments, studying for tests, and preparing for final exams. STAAR retests and testing will take place on May 3 and then again on May 9-12 so encourage strong finishes in that respect as well.

Next week is an exciting time as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Encourage our students to thank their teachers, for these professionals have worked hard all year long and really deserve our gratitude.

Thanks for all you do and what a great year it's been!

Well it’s that time of year....Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2- 6) and PIE has some great things planned for the students and the staff. Our theme this year is Superheroes because we believe every staff member at LMS is a Superhero. There will be a “Soup”er Hero luncheon for the staff on Monday and we’ve made arrangements for the staff to have an extended “Power Up” breakfast on Wednesday. The rest of the week we are placing superhero themed items in their boxes to give them that little extra something to remind them what they mean to us.

We could use some help from all of you. We have taken the superhero theme and extended it to the students as well. We will have dress up days for the staff and the students all week long. We also have collected a list of the teacher’s favorite things. This list will be placed outside their door so the students can participate in bringing any teacher an item on the list in hopes of making their week “SUPER”.

So, please encourage your child to take part in any way they can. If nothing else, remind them to show some love this week. Below, you will find a copy of the flyer that will be in the halls to remind the students about the daily events.
