Stepping Out Newsletter

Serving our Communities (Fall Issue)

Big image

Faith Journey Monthly Outreach Newsletter is designed to communicate ways of reaching out to our communities through service to show God’s love to those in need. These are great opportunities for Faith Journey groups to be involved and to serve together.

"And I keep praying that this faith we hold in common keeps showing up in the good things we do, that people will recognize Christ in all of it." Philemon 1:6

It is the month of giving thanks…how can you and I step out and share the blessings God has given us? Make a list of five to ten ways where you feel blessed by God in your life. Post the list where you can see it every day. Ask God to reveal opportunities where you can share your blessings with others.
There are many opportunities in our community to “share our blessings.“ Each month we will highlight a local ministry that we can be praying for and serving. Keep your heart open to what the Lord is doing in your community and pray to see how God would have you get involved.

Testimonial-Power House Women's Gathering

“Back in January I was asked to be a part of a team that went into Power House Ministries on Tuesday mornings to help with a woman’s group focused on the ladies in the PH Transition Center. I had no idea the impact that this journey would have on me. I would like to think that I am the one helping these ladies but to be honest they have put my life in perspective. We have now invited ladies from the area surrounding Power House and each week we see new faces drop in for a warm meal and a time to be in God’s word. We have been blessed to have different groups come in each week and provide food. If your bible study/women’s group would like to help us out please contact me at or call me at (916)320-4361.”
