UGA Spring Career & Internship Fair

Exploring the Career Fair Employer Panel: Arch Ready Spring 2019

Are you a first-or second-year student interested in attending a Career Fair? Career Fairs can be both intimidating and exciting, and knowing how to navigate the fair can give you a head start on your professional journey. This panel features recruiters from well-known companies that regularly attend the UGA Career & Internship Fair.
In this panel you will:
- Understand why it is important to start attending career fairs early in your academic career
- Learn what employers expect of underclassmen attending career fairs
- Gain confidence in your ability to connect with employers at career fairs

Engineering and Computer Science Career and Internship Fair
Date: Thursday, January 31
Time: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Classic Center
This event provides an opportunity for students to meet with employers who are seeking candidates for their open internships, co-ops, and/or full-time positions. Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students are all encouraged to attend.
Students are expected to wear business professional attire and bring printed copies of their resume.
Shuttles will run from Driftmier and Soule Hall - to the Classic Center from 4:00pm - 8:30pm.
Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics Internship & Career Fair

The Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics Internship and Career Fair offers the opportunity for students to network with employers with a special interest in hiring FHCE students. Students at all levels of their educational experience will have an opportunity to learn about internship and full-time openings available. Students who are seeking internships and full-time jobs in these industries are highly encouraged to attend.

Pre-Health Personal Statement Writing Lab
Date: Monday, February 4
Time: 3:30pm - 5:00pm
Location: Career Center Multipurpose Room
If you're applying to OT, PT, PA, medical, dental, or any health profession school, it's time to start thinking about writing your personal statement. In this small group session, we'll discuss what admissions committees look for in personal statements and go over techniques to improve your writing skills. You'll walk away with tangible resources to help you begin or improve your personal statement. Bring a pen or your laptop and be ready to write. Labs are limited to 25 students; must register in advance on Handshake to attend.
Interviewing: Arch Ready Spring 2019

In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Recognize the different types of interview questions and strategies for answering them effectively
- Understand how to analyze a job description to identify interview talking points
- Understand how to market your individual/unique strengths for an interview
- Develop insightful questions to ask at the conclusion of an interview
