Definition of Hearing Impaired and Deafness
According to IDEA:

Deafness is defined as "a hearing impairment that is so severe that the child is impaired in processing linguistic information through hearing, with or without amplification."
How Should We Teach Students who are Deaf or Have Hearing Impairments in an Online Class?
Pre-teach Vocabulary
- Create a "know it, sort of know it, don't know it chart"
- Create a vocabulary notebook. In the notebook, the students will write the word, the definition in their own words, and draw a picture that will help them understand the word
Subtitles
You can add subtitles or closed captioning to You Tube videos that you create
