EP Orchestra Takes Second

Nearly 50 members of the Elkins Park Orchestra placed second in the Elementary School Orchestra category of the Music in the Parks adjudication at Catasauqua High School this past week. In teacher Judy Harvey’s four years leading the students in this competition, the orchestra has returned to school with either first or second place trophies with superior and excellent ratings. The students performed the original compositions “Concerto (in the style of Vivaldi)” and “Road to Lisdoonvarna, Traditional Irish,” specifically created for them by Harvey’s daughter Myanna Harvey. Following the competition, the students spent time at Dorney Park.
