OLA's Annual Terry Fox Run
Field Trip Consent REQUIRED for the Terry Fox Run
Thank you to the many families who have already taken the time to complete the Annual Consent Forms online!
A gentle reminder that if you have not already done so, please take a moment to do this in the next few days! Because we will be using the track across the street this year for our Terry Fox Run.
Children will not be able to participate without the completed consent form for the 2019-2020 school year.
Consent forms are found on your PowerSchool ParentPortal and need to be completed for each child you have attending an EICS school. Also, if you have not already completed an EICS Demographic Confirmation Form for your child this is a great opportunity to get that done as well. This form is required by Alberta Education and directly impacts funding to our school, as well as ensures that we have up-to-date information to reach you in an emergency.
Need help completing the forms? Please do not hesitate to contact May-Lee in the office at 780-998-3716. She will be happy to assist in any way she can.
School Fees
Teachers are busy finalizing their plans for field trips and presentations for the year and we expect to have information about the exciting events they have planned for your child shortly. The fee for Field Trips and Presentations will be added to your child's PowerSchool account in October.
If the paying of fees is a financial difficulty you may be eligible for the EICS Fee Waiver Program, please visit the EICS website to learn more. The deadline for applications is December 13, 2019.
BusPlanner App
Have you checked out the new EICS BusPlanner? With this new system parents gain access to the following:
- The BusPlanner Parent Portal, located here: https://eics.mybusplanner.ca/Default.aspx which allows parents to view details of the routes, stops and transfers for their children.
- The BusPlanner Notification System for email alerts to parents for issues which impact transportation on a route by route or school by school basis.
- The BusPlanner Delays app which both parents and students can install on a mobile (hand-held) device and allows them to subscribe to and receive BusPlanner notifications through push notifications.
Parents, please take the time to create an account for the BusPlanner Parent Portal, click here for further instructions - thank you.
Please know, there will no longer be emails or phone calls directly from EICS transportation regarding route cancellations or late buses. Notifications will come to you through Bus Planner, so please subscribe.
Bus Evacuation Drill
Your EICS Transporation department will be having their annual School Wide Bus Evacuation on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. This drill will take place shortly after our morning attendance, and during your child's regular school day. Please contact the office at 780-998-3716 if you need further information.

Club Moo Milk Program
We are grateful to the parent volunteers who have committed to offering the milk program at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School.
This year milk will be delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As with past milk programs, only students who participate in the prepaid program will receive milk. Students may choose either white or chocolate milk, and the milk will be delivered directly to their classrooms so that it is ready for them when they come in from lunch recess to eat at 12:04 pm.
Prepaid ordering will occur once this year. The cost for pre-ordered milk will be $50.00/child or $95.00/two children for delivery from Tuesday, October 1st to Thursday, June 18th.
All milk orders will be placed online this year. Orders are open now, and close September 23, 2019.
